Since it does not splinter or break, it is ideal for making furniture. Once molded, solid rattan retains its contours permanently. Peel is the outer skin of the rattan pole and traditionally is used to wrap the furniture joints. Wicker refers to products that are made from reed, cane, rush, willow or other woven natural materials. Wicker and Rattan are natural products with every piece having its own individual, unique qualities. When used in a commercial setting, Tropitone warrantees its frames for 5 years from the date of purchase. Commercial use is defined as use in a public area. Proof of purchase is required. If your Tropitone frame fails structurally during normal usage, or if the finish peels, cracks, or blisters within fifteen years (5 years for commercial use), Tropitone will repair, refinish, or replace the frame (with same or similar product if discontinued) at no charge. Parts and labor are included for the first 3 years (1st year for commercial use.). Additionally the following 5, 3, and 1 year warranties apply: -For 5 years: Tropitone warrantees its vinyl straps for 5 years from the date of purchase. This applies only to breakage, not color changes. In the unlikely event that a strap breaks or pulls loose, Tropitone will provide a replacement strap at no charge (labor not included.) -For 3 years: Tropitone warrantees its vinyl straps against discoloration for three years from the date of purchase. In the unlikely event that a strap is grossly discolored, Tropitone will supply a replacement strap at no charge. (Labor not included.) The natural weathering of wood finishes, breakage of glass, fading, staining and mildewing of fabrics, slings and strapping or the compression of cushion fillings and the rusting of market bases are not covered under warranty. This warranty does not cover the failure of furniture that, in Telescope's opinion, was caused by acts of God, accident, neglect, improper shipping or handling or by unreasonable or abusive use, and is void if our care and maintenance instructions were not properly followed. Furniture used in a commercial setting is not warranted unless it is specifically designated for commercial use as noted by a CQ (commercial quality) in our price index, in which case it is warranted from either one or five years from the date of purchase. Furniture stored outside or in other cold storage should be drained of any water. If allowed to freeze inside the furniture, water can damage the tubing.
