Their patented KD dining tables are built to precise tolerances and feature a full-circumference outer ring and reinforced umbrella support for strength and stability. An additional feature of our KD tables is their assembly system that allows the table legs to simply and securely attach to the top structure. Tropitone table rims are constructed of heavy-gauge extruded aluminum with fully ground and polished welds for a seamless appearance. Each table rim can be snapped off without tools, allowing easy cleaning. Tropitone tables are engineered to provide years of enjoyment with minimal maintenance, weathering the elements season after season. Tropitone's history started back in 1954 when Mr. Bert M. Baker, Sr., a retired engineer from the Grand Rapids Chair Co. and former engineer for Lockheed Aircraft, moved to Sarasota, Florida. Mr. Baker, an energetic and creative individual, soon became bored with retirement and bought a small, local company known as the Sarasota Redwood Furniture Co., a manufacturer of fine redwood outdoor furniture. Drawing upon his experience in both the furniture and aircraft industries and his knowledge of aluminum, Mr. Baker soon switched from redwood to welded aluminum for his furniture construction. From this small, inauspicious beginning, Tropitone was born. Mr. Baker's goal since Tropitone's inception was to provide quality casual furniture built with a commitment to comfort, style and value. Throughout his years with Tropitone, Mr. Baker pioneered many design and manufacturing innovations; innovations which the Casual Industry as a whole has adopted and which are now considered "standard features" on all fine casual furniture. Tropitone Limited Warranty When used in a residential setting, Tropitone warrantees its frames for 15 years. The warranty is valid from the date of purchase by the original purchaser. When used in a commercial setting, Tropitone warrantees its frames for 5 years from the date of purchase. Commercial use is defined as use in a public area. Proof of purchase is required. If your Tropitone frame fails structurally during normal usage, or if the finish peels, cracks, or blisters within fifteen years (5 years for commercial use), Tropitone will repair, refinish, or replace the frame (with same or similar product if discontinued) at no charge. Parts and labor are included for the first 3 years (1st year for commercial use.). Additionally the following 5, 3, and 1 year warranties apply: -For 5 years: Tropitone warrantees its vinyl straps for 5 years from the date of purchase. This applies only to breakage, not color changes. In the unlikely event that a strap breaks or pulls loose, Tropitone will provide a replacement strap at no charge (labor not included.) -For 3 years: Tropitone warrantees its vinyl straps against discoloration for three years from the date of purchase. In the unlikely event that a strap is grossly discolored, Tropitone will supply a replacement strap at no charge. (Labor not included.) Strap replacement due to discoloration is at the vinyl supplier?s discretion. Solid surface table tops used in residential areas are warranted against manufacturer?s defect for three years. Telescope Casual Furniture Warranty If your Telescope powder coated frame fails structurally during normal usage within 15 years from the date of purchase, Telescope will repair, refinish or replace the frame without charge, parts and labor included. The finish is warranted against peeling, cracking or blistering for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase. Not included in our "powder coat" warranty are table tops, umbrellas, terrace shells and market bases, wood furniture, cushions, slings and folding aluminum furniture. These products are warranted for one year to be free of manufacturing defects. Our steel market bases, if not properly maintained, will rust if the finish is scratched through to the metal. If this occurs, it must be touched up with an acrylic based paint.The wicker fiber featured in our Savona Wicker Collection is warranted by the fiber manufacturer for 3 years from the date of purchase. The natural weathering of wood finishes, breakage of glass, fading, staining and mildewing of fabrics, slings and strapping or the compression of cushion fillings and the rusting of market bases are not covered under warranty. This warranty does not cover the failure of furniture that, in Telescope's opinion, was caused by acts of God, accident, neglect, improper shipping or handling or by unreasonable or abusive use, and is void if our care and maintenance instructions were not properly followed. Furniture used in a commercial setting is not warranted unless it is specifically designated for commercial use as noted by a CQ (commercial quality) in our price index, in which case it is warranted from either one or five years from the date of purchase. Furniture stored outside or in other cold storage should be drained of any water. If allowed to freeze inside the furniture, water can damage the tubing. Such damage is not covered under our product warranty. No returns will be accepted by our factory without prior written authorization from our Customer Service Department. After authorization is received your furniture must be returned to the factory in proper packaging, freight prepaid.
