The Hosta Flavocircinalis, 'H. x tokudama 'Flavocircinalis', has heart-shaped leaves with a gray-blue center, yellow margin, and heavy substance. Lavender flowers bloom in June and July with foliage 20" tall. They are unequaled for their beautiful foliage, low care, and many landscape uses. Hosta provide bright color in the shade with handsome, broad, ribbed foliage in many colors. Very showy from early spring until late fall. Cucumber - Slicing - Armenian
The Cucumber Armenian Burpless, 'Cucumis satiovus', is a slicing cucumber that is slightly sweet, crisp, and never bitter. The Armenian Burpless is very long and is best harvested short at 18 inches. Want to try something new in your garden? This is the variety. It has excellent flavor and absolutely gorgeous light green, thin skin. It is also more heat resistant than most cucumbers and has a long production period, so you can harvest right into late fall. The Armenian Burpless cucumber is also called the Yard Long cucumber or Snake cucumber. Plant in the spring after the last average frost date. Do not plant late as hot temps may preclude good flowering. Cucumbers prefer light, rich, well drained fertile soil with lots of organic matter. Cucumbers have a shallow root system and therefore require regular moisture. The Gourd Ornamental Shenot Crown of Thorns Blend, 'Cucurbita pepo var. ovifera', is an amazingly symmetrical gourd with 10 little "fingers" that protrude to make a crown. The Crown of Thorns is fun for kids and adults to grow. The vine is smaller than many gourd vines, and it can be grown in large hanging baskets or containers. Harvest the Crown of Thorns in time to use as a holiday decorations or crafts projects, such as weird-shaped small bowls. Shenot was selected for it's very uniform gourds. The Honeysuckle 'Gold Net', 'Lonicera japonica 'Aureo-Reticulata', is unlike most Honeysuckle grown today. It is noted for its highly unusual oakleaf-shaped, lime-green and gold veined variegated foliage. The small scented yellow flowers will appear in the spring but they are inconspicuous. This Honeysuckle is quite versatile as it can twine up a wall, fence, or trellis, or mound or sprawl as shrubs and ground cover. In the south, it can be known to be rampant and may be evergreen or semi-evergreen. In the Pacific Northwest, it will be more restrained and can climb more than twelve feet, unlike many other species.
