Potentilla - Snowbird Snowbird Potentilla, Potentilla fruticosa 'Snowbird', is an attractive selection from Canada. It has dark green, glossy foliage and approximately 80% of the white flowers are double with two rows of petals. Snowbird forms an upright compact shape at maturity. Plant in full sun or semi shade. Due to its neutral colour, will contrast well with most other shrubs and plants. This fast grower reveryes 2-3 feet in height and width. Very attractive plant for butterflies and likes full sun or partial shade and somewhat regular watering. You can plant it with the assurance that it will live. It requires little, if no care once established. It is compact and free flowering. Privet - Golden Vicary Golden Vicary Privet, Ligustrum x vicaryi, is a compact vase shaped shrub with long slender leaves that hold their golden color through the summer if grown in full sun. Excellent plant for hedges or as a contrast plant in the landscape. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil. This lovely golden-leafed privet grows 8-12 feet high by 6-8 feet wide and has a vase-like or oval shape. Upright stems are covered with bright golden leaves in full sun, light green in shade. It is valued for its golden leaves. Tolerates dry soil and looks its best when not pruned. Golden Vicary Privet prefers sun to partial shade; best appearance for leaf color is in full sun. Use as a specimen shrub or small tree in a sunny spot to best display the golden foliage. Snapdragon - Magic Carpet Mix The Magic Carpet Snapdragon, 'Antirrhinum majus', is a dwarf plant that has a trailing habit that makes it excellent for border fronts, planter boxes, and as an unusual groundcover. Magic Carpet Snapdragons blooms in spring to early summer. Snapdragons display shades of red, white, yellow, and pink on 4 to 6 inch flower stalks. They prefer and will bloom best in full sun.
