The High Back Settee draws attention with its rustic and intriguing look. Aside from its looks this piece is also extremely durable. It is made from Northern White Cedar which is naturally resistant from decay and insect damage. It is also lightweight and does not shrink or warp as many other woods commonly do. It can be easily treated or will naturally weather to a silvery gray if left untreated. (Pillows not included) Additional Information: *Our Northern Cedar natural and untreated is grown in the northeastern region of the United States. We carefully select cedar trees growing in moist swampy woodlands. Cedar absorbs and loses moisture slowly which minimizes the dry cracking splintering and swelling more characteristic of oak or pine. Cedar has the US Forest Products Laboratory highest rating for decay and disease resistance. Fresh cedar odor is a mild insect repellent. Our cedar products are shipped in their natural color pale tan or light gold. The color changes evenly over time to a silver gray.
