About Three Birds and Teak Teak is a very hard, densely grained wood with very high oil content. The unique combination of these characteristics makes teakwood naturally resistant to moisture, rot, warping, shrinking, splintering, insects, fungus, marine borers and termites making it an ideal material for the production of outdoor furniture. Three Birds is committed to providing teakwood outdoor furniture of the highest standard. They accept only Grade A, Plantation Grown Teak Timber from government managed plantations in the production of their furniture. All of the teakwood used in the products is kiln dried prior to production. Their products are designed using mortise and tenon joinery with locking wood dowels. Where hardware is necessary, it is of the highest quality brass or, where unseen or internal, or where extra strength is needed, stainless steel. While color and grain of each piece of Three Birds furniture might vary, they ensure consistency within the piece by selecting timber of similar color and grain on a piece by piece basis. The furniture is then hand finished to a smooth, "polished" finish using only fine abrasive materials; no oils or waxes are applied to achieve the finish of Three Birds Teakwood furniture prior to delivery to customers. Three Birds Limited Warranty Three Birds LLC warrants the original consumer purchaser that its products shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten (10) years for residential applications (5 years for commercial applications) from the date of original purchase by the consumer customer.. If the product fails due to defects in material or workmanship during this warranty period, Three Birds will repair or replace, at its option, the product part that is in question free of charge. The word ?defects", as used in this warranty, is defined as imperfections, which impair the utility if the product. The Cotoneaster Peking, 'Cotoneaster acutifolia', is an erect shrub with slender spreading branches. The Peking Cotoneaster is best used as a hedge, or in groupings. This shrub displays yellow to red fall foliage and performs best in moist, well-drained soils. This shrub does well in partial shade to full sun light. Cotoneaster may be appreciated more for its dark green foliage than its blossoms. The small flowers are white to pinkish. Three-eighths inch black berries ripen in September and persist through mid-winter and are appreciated by some song birds such as the Robin and Catbird.
